ABOUT THE AUTHOR  Gloria Hussl- Krassnig was born in Austria, in a little historical town named  Friesach. As a young child she already had a deep love and understanding for animals. And it seemed always to be very natural for her to connect with them. Even wild animals, she rescued, did not take long to trust her completely.  Her mother Winfriede Rauchenwald, who is a great animal lover herself, to this day calls her the female Dr. Doolittle.  In 1981 she and her family moved to the United States, to Texas, where she and her husband Jack Krassnig in 1983 bought a farm. Where they lived ever since.  Sunrise Farms became the home and safe heaven for many animals.  Gloria devotes a big part of her life to the animals that thank her every day with their unconditional love.
